GARDEN PROJECT

Since 2013 we have seen a transformation to our garden from bramble forest to a sustainable growing area.

We have partnered with Groundwork to implement a number of projects that make a difference to people's lives.  People living in difficult financial circumstances have come along to learn how to plant, grow and harvest veg in order to provide better quality food for their families.  Others with mental health issues have used this time to build up their self-esteem and confidence.  Long term unemployed and ex-offenders have been part of a Green Skills course, learning how to landscape, build patios and paths and to get a certificate in health and safety that enables them to apply for jobs in the construction industry; some of these people are now in full-time employment!

For details of day and time, please check the church calendar.

In addition to all of this, we are creating a recreational space for the church and other community groups to use for BBQs and social gatherings.

We are partners of the Luton Community Food Hub, an alliance made up of people and organisations across Luton to help alleviate food poverty and support healthier eating.
